Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jack Thayer of Valley View, Texas, born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, who passed away at the age of 84, on August 30, 2023. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lona Thayer and Chester "Mack" Thayer; and his brother Raymond Thayer. He is survived by: his wife Anita; his children, Mark Thayer (Dee) of Graham, Karen Black of Clarksville and Teri Gaston (Tim) of Monroe; his stepdaughter Rene'Gaston (Andy) of Kentucky; his grandchildren, Jacob (Raegan), Trevor (Kelly), Kirstin (Kyle), Joshua, Tyler, Britain and Tanner; and his great grandchildren, Rex, Wade and Chloe.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Home Hospice of Cooke County, 316 S. Chestnut, Gainesville, TX or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
