He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray McDermand and Earnestine McDermand (Decardova). He is survived by: his former wife Reba Ann Cathey; his wife Reba McDermand of Valley View; his children, Kelli Schuckers of Valley View and Zeb McDermand (Sunni) of Valley View; his grandchildren, Kolten Schuckers, Dylan McDermand and Charlie McDermand; his siblings, Wayne McDermand (Susie) of Beaumont and Anna Griffin of Dallas; his sister-in-law Pam Cathey of Grapevine; and his son Steven Rutledge of Sanger.
