With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Jackson Filler of Valley Mills, Texas, who passed away on March 20, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lee Filler and Violet P. Filler (Pamela Kaye Filler). He is survived by: his wife Alice Fay Filler of Valley Mills, TX; his children, Rachael Merideth Delaney (James Patrick Delaney) of Valley Mills, TX and Arthur Lee Filler II (Genevieve Nicole James) of Valley Mills, TX; and his granddaughter Jennifer Denali Pearson-Delaney of Austin, TX..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that we honor Jack's lifelong spirit of generosity and his love of music by making donations in his name to the Texas Music Project, https://texasmusicproject.org.

“So sorry for your loss. We have many loving memories of Jack, Aunt Violet and Uncle Spike. Valley Mills was our go to place during hurricane season. Our oldest son Jason caught a 6lb bass out of Hogg Creek. Lots of fond memories - on one trip Uncle Spike gifted us with 2 beautiful mallard ducks. Thinking they wouldn't live long we reluctantly brought them home -- they lived for 17 years! God bless you all. The Manley Family Buster, Day, Jason, Greg”
