He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Perry Hipp Sr. and Eva Adams Hipp; his half-brother Jesse Perry Hipp Jr.; and his brother-in-law Joe R. Morgan. He is survived by: his significant other Elaine; his sister Joyce Morgan of Valley Mills; his nephew Ray Morgan (Sherrie) of Valley Mills; his nieces, Melissa Ramey (Randall) of The Woodlands and Meredith Tull (Steve) of Valley Mills; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Perry Ramey, Morgan Addington, Madeline Ramey Reeder, Lilly Morgan, Eva Morgan and Lauren O'Neil.
