He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Freedman and Mary Emily Freedman (York); his friend Donald Bearden; his siblings, Jesse "Ned" Freedman, Lillie Mae Johnson, Corine Riddle, William Eugene "Gene" Freedman, Charles Ray Freedman, Velma Johnson, Richard Freedman and Inez Rogers (Wanda Phillips Freedman); and his stepson Tim Barnett.
He is survived by: his siblings, Duncan (Lyndia Freedman), Diane Jordan, Delma (Sammy Mann), Carroll Gene Freedman and Harry Don (Christy Freedman); and his stepsons, Trey (Micki Barnett) and Stephen Barnett. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
