He was predeceased by: his father Vance Houston Chisum; his wife Claudia Mae Chisum (Irwin); his mother Alice B. Chisum (Bargsley); and his siblings, Vance Chisum, Gene Chisum, Cam Chisum, Johnnie Gold and Georgie Arenson.
He is survived by: his children, Alice Liarakos (Michael) of Uvalde, Amy Haynie (Kenneth) of Uvalde, Charles "Bubba" Chisum (Jean Ann) of Uvalde and Shane Davenport (Anna) of Uvalde. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
