He was predeceased by: his parents, Maximina Uriegas (Zepeda) and Refugio Uriegas; his wife Carmen Y. Uriegas; and his siblings, Refugia Talavera (Cuca), Alfredo Uriegas, Roberto Uriegas and Juan Uriegas.
He is survived by: his children, Connie U. Varela (Jimmy) of San Antonio and Rudy Uriegas Jr. (Paula) of Castroville; his grandchildren, Chistopher Varela (Priscilla), Daniel Varela and Nathaniel Uriegas; and his sister Elisa Morales (Licha) of San Antonio. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
