He was predeceased by: his parents, Roberto Amescua Sr. and Leonor Rangel; and his sister Alicia Borrego. He is survived by: his wife Elva Amescua of Uvalde; his children, Robert Amescua (Anna) of Brackettville, Lee Amescua (Erica) of Uvalde and Denise Garcia (Eloy) of San Marcos; his grandchildren, James Amescua of Brackettville, Aidan Amescua, Carson Amescua of Uvalde, Jose Angel Amescua of New Braunfels, Efrain Medina of New Orleans, Victor Lomas of New York and Bonita Medina-Clark of Atlanta Tx; and his siblings, Luis Amescua (Odelia) of Sabinal, Estella Borrego of Sabinal and Rosalinda Soriano (Domingo) of San Antonio. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home (424 Geraldine St, Uvalde, TX 78801). A rosary was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (408 Fort Clark Rd, Uvalde, TX 78801).
