She was predeceased by: her parents, Maximina Uriegas (Zepeda) and Refugio Ramos Uriegas; her husband Manuel Alfonso Talavera; her brothers, Alfredo Uriegas, Juan Uriegas and Roberto Uriegas; her children-in-law, Laurie Talavera and Juan Tabares; and her granddaughter Kayla Talavera.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Tabares of West Bend, Rosario Compean of Uvalde, Cecilia T. Martinez (George) of Uvalde, Homero A. Talavera (Maria Elena) of San Antonio, Edward Talavera of Fort Atkinson Wisconsin, Julian Talavera of San Antonio and James D. Talavera of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; her siblings, Elisa U. Morales of San Antonio and Rodolfo Uriegas; and her sister-in-law Estella Talavera Silva. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
