Raul Tellez Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Raul Tellez of Uvalde, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 22, 2025 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosa Tellez (Costilla) and Ricardo Tellez. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Tellez of Uvalde; his children, Cynthia Lyson of Idaho, Karen Lozano (Rene) of Uvalde, Arnold Tellez of California and Steve Sanchez (Karie) of Uvalde; and his siblings, Rachel Tellez of Uvalde, Mary Garcia of Uvalde, Margie Barbosa of Uvalde, Rosalinda Reed of Iowa and Robert Tellez of Uvalde. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary (220 S Getty St, Uvalde, TX 78801). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Uvalde Methodist Church (301 N High St, Uvalde, TX 78801).
