She is survived by: her husband William Smithwick of Edinburgh; her sisters, Lucy Sandoval (Gilbert) of Uvalde and Olga Cruz Reyes of San Antonio; her sister-in-law Ann Smithwick of San Antonio; her stepson Justin Smithwick of Edinburg; her brother-in-law Rolando Reyes of Uvalde; her nieces and nephews, Gilbert Sandoval, Jr. (Jennifer), Gigi Beza (Eddy Pete, Sr.), Adriana Galindo (Carlos), Charles Downing (Laura), Marlowe Downing (Beth), Selina Sandoval, Roland Reyes, Rene Reyes, Angela Reyes and Candace Estrada; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Gilbert Pete Beza, Eddy Pete Beza, Jr., Blaine Sandoval, Abigayle Sandoval, Dorothy Sandoval, Elizabeth Sandoval, Claire Sandoval, Lucy Jo McHazlett, Lily Ann McHazlett, Derrick Roel Ruiz, Alexa Arianne Alaniz, Anissa Arielle Alaniz, Krystanna Angel Martinez, Carleigh Rose Galindo, Camryn Skye Luna, Millie Downing, Rowan Downing, Lewis Downing, Noah Downing, Oliver Downing and Joan Downing.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary (220 S Getty St, Uvalde, TX 78801). A rosary was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Hillcrest Cemetery (26200 Aurora Rd, Bedford Heights, OH 44146).
