He is survived by: his daughter Amber Emerald Nicolle Salazar; his wife Rosalind Castro Salazar; his siblings, Juana Laura Munoz (Alejandro), Gloria Margarita Salazar and Guillermo Salazar (Maria); and his nieces and nephews, Dulce Maria Salazar Lira (Ervey), Elda Salazar Romo (Juan), Laura Salazar Garcia (Joseph), Juan A. Torres (Claudia), Alejandro Munoz Jr., Jesse John Salazar Jr. (Mayra), William Anthony Salazar (Agata) and Jonathon Ray Salazar (Valarie). He is also survived by numerous great nephew and great nieces, relatives and friends.
As a nursing home administrator, he had many successes, but the one he was most proud of was being a COVID-free nursing center for San Jose during the COVID-19 pandemic.
