He was predeceased by: his daughter Audrey Nina Rodriguez; his grandmother Rosalinda Cruz Rodriguez; and his aunts, Marina Medina and Teresa Medina. He is survived by: his parents, Cecilia Medina of Waco and Daniel Cruz Rodriguez Jr. of Uvalde; his close friend Jessica Fernandez of Uvalde; his children, Mark Daniel Rodriguez Jr. of Uvalde and Arianna Renee Rodriguez of Uvalde; his stepfather Juan Manuel Cortez Jr. of Uvalde; and his siblings, James Marshall Rodriguez of Uvalde, Juan Manuel Cortez III of Uvalde, Jason Anthony Cortez of Uvalde and Kristen Michelle Delgado (Oscar).
