He was predeceased by: his father David Acosta; his son Jesus Montoya, Jr.; and his siblings, Mary Helen Garza and David Acosta. He is survived by: his mother Remedios Acosta (Garza) of Uvalde; his wife Rebecca Jaquez; his children, Oralia Young (Jose Herrera) of Uvalde, Becky Alvarez (Moses) of Uvalde, Mary Ann Ibarra (Tommy) of San Antonio and Joe Mirelez (Alexandra) of Ft. Worth; and his siblings, Juanita Velasquez of Uvalde, Sylvia Aguallo of Lubbock and Joe Ben Acosta of Uvalde. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
