He is survived by: his wife Josefa Marin; his children, Leticia Risa (Rosemberg) of Uvalde, Leandro Esparza, Jr. of San Antonio and Jaime Esparza (Cynthia) of Austin; and his daughters-in-law, Maria Elena Esparza of McAllen and Maria Esparza of Uvalde, Texas..
