He was predeceased by: his parents, Margarita Medrano (Flores) and Jose Maria Medrano; and his brothers, Rogelio Flores Medrano and Javier Flores Medrano. He is survived by: his siblings, Juanita Garcia of Houston, Petra L. Rodriguez of Uvalde, Maria Sosa of Houston, Irma Garcia of Pasadena, Elisa Salinas of Houston and Enrique Medrano of Crystal City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
