It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilberto Gallegos of Uvalde, Texas, born in D'Hanis, Texas, who passed away on October 31, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vicenta Gallegos (Cortez) and Melchor Gallegos; his brother David Gallegos; and his son Reynaldo Pineda. He is survived by: his wife Maria Oralia Cervantez; his children, Sandra Rubio (Felix) of Uvalde, Gilberto Gallegos, Jr. of San Antonio and Alfred Pineda, Jr. of San Antonio; and his siblings, Velia Gonzales of D'Hanis, Vicenta Gomez of D'Hanis and Rudy Gallegos of D'Hanis. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
