It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Edward Ligocky of Uvalde, Texas, born in Deming, New Mexico, who passed away on January 24, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Poverle and Fred Ligocky; and his brothers, Vince Hershal and Charlie Ligocky. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hervol Ligocky of Uvalde; his children, Tim, Sandy of Uvalde, Eddie Ligocky (Gloria), Dana Oliver (Danny) and Laura Charlton (Derrick); his nephew Gary Ligocky of Uvalde; and his niece Carol Ligocky of Uvalde. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.
