She was predeceased by: her parents, Soila Perez (Cruz) and Benito Perez; her spouse Cruz Hernandez (Sonny); and her siblings, Alicia Salazar, Camilo Perez, Benito Perez Jr. and Alejandro Perez.
She is survived by: her daughter Margot Mata (Carlos Mata); her granddaughter Briana Andrea Mata; and her sister Gloria Garcia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary (220 S Getty St, Uvalde, TX 78801). A rosary was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rushing Estes-Knowles Mortuary (1234 W Main St, Uvalde, TX 78801). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (408 Fort Clark Rd, Uvalde, TX 78801). A burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hillcrest Cemetery (1300 W Main St, Uvalde, TX 78801).
