He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Thomas "Tommy" Seargeant and Wilda Jean Nash; his sister Susan Winters-Kyle; and his nephew Charles Lee Winters. He is survived by: his wife Helen Garza Seargeant; his siblings, Thomas Dee Seargeant (Barbara) and Anne Seargeant Ross (Henry); his children, David Gene Seargeant, Jr. (Lana) of Kingwood, Christopher Lee Seargeant of Brackettville and Suzanna Seargeant Wilson (Alex) of Austin; and his grandchildren, David Gene Seargeant III, Emma Jewel Seargeant, Jacob Thomas Seargeant, Laura Louise Seargeant and Rylan Gage Sunderland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Lifetime Recovery, the largest non-profit residential substance abuse treatment facility in Bexar and surrounding counties.
