She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruperta Maldonado (Morales) and Ignacio Maldonado; her husband Lorenzo M. Lara; and her siblings, Maria Castillo, Guadalupe Martinez, Anastacia Ayala, Manuela Lara and Emilio Castillo.
She is survived by: her children, Ana Benavidez (Arnulfo) of Rocksprings, Leticia Lara of Uvalde, Lucy Lee Lara of Uvalde, Louella Lara of Uvalde and Lorenzo Rodriguez of Uvalde. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
