She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfredo Medrano and Elia Gonzalez. She is survived by: her sons, Martin Ruiz of Angleton, Texas, Andre Chapman and Mark Chapman of Uvalde; her grandchildren, Elimarie Ruiz of Angleton, Dalmazio Ruiz, Aurelio Ruiz, Isreal Rodriguez, Josiah Rodriguez, Angeliyah Ruiz and Zariyah Ruiz; and her siblings, Griselda Medrano of Uvalde, Jose A. Medrano of San Antonio and Gilberto Medrano of San Antonio.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home (424 Geraldine St, Uvalde, TX 78801). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
