With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sylvia V. Gutierrez of Universal City, Texas, born in Hebbronville, Texas, who passed away on February 18, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Vela and Emory Vela. She is survived by: her husband Feliciano Gutierrez, Jr.; her children, Martin (Carolyn), Mario (Elsa), David and Diana (Bill); her grandchildren, Cristen, DJ, Erica, J. Taylor, C. Garret, Lance, Luke and Lauren; and her siblings, Velma, Diana, Joey and Robert. She is also survived by several other cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome for the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation.
