He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Handte and Ruth Handte; and his granddaughter Jenny Handte. He is survived by: his daughter Carla Power; his daughter-in-law Pam Handte; his great grandchildren, Clarke Power, Tyler Power and Alaina Power; his brother Gordon C. Handte; his sister-in-law Cheryl Handte; his nieces, Lynne Handte and Maura Handte; his great-nephew Mark Handte; and also, Bradley, Brittney Power, Brian Power, Whitney Power, Adam, Julie Power, Garrett Parsons and Gordon Handte.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made the UC Professional Firefighter Association for the Burn-Out Fund or Christmas Fund.
