With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nellie B Matthews of Universal City, Texas, born in Covington, Texas, who passed away on February 15, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Edwin Matthews; her parents, Harry Jones and Lillie Jones; and her siblings, Eddie May Jones, Mara Lee Pruitt, Melissa Manley, Sarah White, Mazie White, Charles, Bennie, James, Dean, Herman, Virble, William, Clarence and Wilkie Jones.

She is survived by: her sister-in-law Margie Jones of Decaterville, Tennessee. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 11560 Toepperwein Rd, Live Oak, TX 78233 or you favorite charity.
