It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Elton Pate of Universal City, Texas, who passed away on June 12, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Pate and Ada Pate (Spain) of Jasper, Alabama.; his sisters, Earlene Thomason and Maverine Vincent; and his stepmother Ola Pate (Garrison).

He is survived by: his wife Agnes Pate (Frison); his children, Sharon Lee (Bill), Gregory Pate (Melissa) and David Pate (Juanita); his grandchildren, Craig Lee (JoAna), Brandon Lee (Megan), Eva, Ryan and Amanda Pate; his great grandchildren, Graham, Coleton and Dylan Lee; and his siblings, Wayne Pate, Geraldine Bailey, Wanda Sue Griffin and Connie Peoples.
