He was predeceased by: his siblings, Bud Armistead (Winnie) and Frances (Rudy Simanek); his former wife Marilyn; and his son Gary W. Armistead Jr.. He is survived by: his close friends, Sparkle and Pretzel; his wife Betsi; his son Paul (Shanon); his grandchildren, Colton and Maggie; and his brother-in-law Rusty Wilson (Cody Holt). He is also survived by many dogs and cats.
