He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Porter Black and Anna Mae Black (Bowser); his wife Elinor O'Sullivan; his sister Elvietta Alexander; and his children, Edward, Patricia (Ballard), John and Paul. He was also cherished by 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
