He is survived by: his wife Virginia Sue Lilly (Johnson); his children, Gail Thigpen (Joe), Don Lilly (Amy) and Ted Lilly (Cathy); his grandchildren, Lauren Odom (Christopher), Andrew Thigpen, Peyton Lilly, Sarah Lilly (Joe Bakker) and Adam Lilly (Morgan Hunt); and his great grandchildren, Levi and Mason Odom.
