It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willa Lue Wicks of Tyler, Texas, born in Utopia, Texas, who passed away on October 30, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Henderson Chaney and Lena Belle Chaney; and her brothers, Charles Chaney and Danny Chaney (James D. Wicks). She is survived by: her brother Tom Chaney (Charmaine) of Devine, Texas; her children, David Wicks (Ginny) of Tyler, Tim Wicks of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Debbie VanWinkle (Ted) of Heber Springs, Arkansas.; and her grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathan, Timothy, Kelsi, James, Lena and Johnny. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Stewart Family Funeral Home (7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy, Tyler, TX 75703). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Utopia Church of Christ (132 Main St, Utopia, TX 78884).
