It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Walter Herbert Parlett of Tyler, Texas, who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Howard Parlett and Reba Elizabeth Parlett (Miller); and his brother Bob Parlett of Huntingdon, PA. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Parlett (Warren); his daughter Anna Parlett-Bickford (Larry) of Stewartstown, PA; his stepchildren, Vicki Cantrell (Dayle), Margaret Hemann (Ronnie), Les Schminkey (Laura), Rebecca Smith (Dane) and Jessica Rudman (Neven); and his brother William "Bill" Parlett (Jane) of New Freedom, PA.. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
The military honors was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home (215 E Front St, Tyler, TX 75702).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in remembrance of Walter Parlett can be made to the Hospice of East Texas (4111 University Blvd. Tyler, TX 75701.) Additionally, contributions may be made to the Veteran's Association, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or an animal shelter of your choice.
