Vernice Tilley Eakin Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernice Tilley Eakin in Tyler, Texas, who passed away on November 25, 2024 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hal Tilley and Fern Tilley; her husband R. C. "Speck" Eakin; and her sisters, Edith, Viola, Verleen, Hettie, Shirley and Georgia.
She is survived by: her children, David Preston, Christine Miller and Mary Farek; her son-in-law Jerry Farek; her granddaughter Jennifer Miller; and her siblings, Buddy, Cecil Tilley and Kay Greene. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel (120 S McCall Ave, Sinton, TX 78387). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice.
