He was predeceased by: his parents, Truben Columbus and Violet Beatrice Byrd (Timberlake); his grandmother Lee Sloan (Glenna Gaines); and his brother Vester Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Diann Brown of Tyler; his sons, Michael Brent Byrd of Tyler and Mitchell Shayn Byrd (Jennifer) of Lindale; his granddaughter Harley Shaddox (Michael) of Lindale; his great grandchildren, Jesse Elliot and Levi Truman Shaddox; and his caregivers, Amy and Lori.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Lindale City Cemetery (702 W South St, Lindale, TX 75771).
In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to paloma Hospice.
