He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert L. Smith and Mary Helen Duncan Smith; his daughter Donna Kay Smith; his grandson Christopher Jaymes Smith; and his sister Shelly Ann Hewitt.

He is survived by: his wife Glenda Dianne Deatherage; his sons, Brady Smith (Kim) of Bullard and Clint Smith (Karibeth) of Gresham; his grandchildren, Hunter Frost (Andrew), Parker Smith, Houston Smith and Jaxon Smith; his stepgrandchildren, Harley Bond (Seth) and Jake Williams; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ricky and Kinley.

Contributions to Hospice of East Texas, Wounded Warriors and St. Jude.
