It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommy James Byrd of Tyler, Texas, born in Hollis, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 14, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy James and Ruby Dell Cunningham Byrd; and his brother Terry Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Karen Byrd; his sons, Timothy Tee Byrd (Sara) of Lisbon and Matthew Howe Byrd (Lisa) of Tyler, Texas.; his grandchildren, Brian Byrd (Sara) of Ruston, Cameron Byrd (Sarah) of Lucas, MacKenzie Byrd Bradley (Jonathan) of Tyler, TX and Garrett Byrd of Tyler; his great grandchildren, Luke, Peter, Tirzah Byrd of Lucas and Ryan Wilkinson of Ruston, Louisiana.; and his sister Fran Shaw (Lyndell "Hooty") of Blair. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
