We are sad to announce that on December 25, 2024, at the age of 91, Ray L. Vaught in Tyler, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping Ray's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Loyd and Irene Vaught (Erp); and his sister Shirley Bradley. He is survived by: his wife Alyce J. Vaught of Hideaway; his children, Cynthia Hums (Joseph) of Hideaway and Brett Vaught (Clita) of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; his sisters, Betty Welch of Arkansas and Martha Beason of Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Merissa Hums of Tyler and Kinsey Hums of Tyler. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home (206 W South St, Lindale, TX 75771). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
