He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold McElroy and Lois Bennett McElroy; and his brother Perry McElroy (Joy). He is survived by: his husband Roy Hortman of Tyler; and his children, Caleb McElroy of Tyler, Caden McElroy of Tyler and Natalie Neal of Tyler.
