We are sad to announce that on November 9, 2024, at the age of 96, Lorena Dobbs of Tyler, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Dobbs Jr.; her parents, Manuel Molandes and Effie Molandes; and her nephew Ed Miller. She is survived by: her siblings, Joe, Floyd Molandes, Velma Molandes Miller and Jean Molandes Trautwein; her daughter-in-law Ann Dobbs; her mother-in-law Sallie Mae Arnold Dobbs; her siblings-in-law, Bill Miller, Billy Dobbs, Dave Trautwein, Margaret Hutchison, Kathryn Johnson and Bennie Dale Fryman; her children, Gary Dobbs and Jan Barton (Cal); her grandchildren, Stephen Dobbs (Amanda), Cy Dobbs, Cam Whitaker, Cole Whitaker, Tom Barton (Rebecca) and Kate McCorcle (Aaron); her sister Ruby Dobbs; her great grandchildren, Riley Dobbs, Kara Dobbs, Chad Pierce, Jackson Barton, June Barton and Ethan McCorcle; and her nephews, Dan Miller (Debbie) and Jody Dobbs (Brenda). She is also survived by great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, and many adoring cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home (215 E Front St, Tyler, TX 75702). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Pines Cemetery.
