She is survived by: her husband Woodrow Mitchell; her daughters, Kristen Herring and Alison Mitchell; her granddaughters, Lauren Herring (Blake Bradham), Emily Herring and Rebecca Herring; her brother Kurt Ploeger (Debbie); and her brothers-in-law, Richard Berry and George Busceme. She is also survived by four nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Stewart Family Funeral Home (7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy, Tyler, TX 75703). A memorial service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Instead of the usual floral remembrances, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy.
