She was predeceased by: her father Clarence. She is survived by: her husband Nelson Carter; her daughter Rachel Thomas; her son-in-law Thomas; her granddaughter Violet; her stepdaughters, Cynthia Byrd (Roger) and Sarah Sprouse (Jim); and her sister-in-law Betty Sanders (Charles). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home (215 E Front St, Tyler, TX 75702). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Tyler Tabernacle (3115 E 5th St, Tyler, TX 75701). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at the Bascom Cemetery (12489 FM 848, Tyler, TX 75707).
