She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cecil Pennington and Marna Ruth Rackley Pennington. She is survived by: her husband Dr. William Thomas Sparrow of Tyler; her son Brett Harrison (Leslie) of Tyler; her grandchildren, Owen, Zane and Tabitha; and her siblings, Ruth Ann Edwards, Karneda Pennington of Oklahoma City, Debra Pennington Treat (John) of Ada, OK and Randall Pennington of Oklahoma City.
