He was predeceased by: his wife Betty McCann Goodin; his parents, Grover C Goodin (Pete) and Esther Goodin; and his siblings, Thomas Gene Goodin and Elizabeth Goodin Nix.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Hall (Roger) of Texarkana, Betsy Maeker (Walter) of Pearland and David Goodin (Diana) of Cypress; and his grandchildren, Collin Hall of Dallas, Kristin Hall Landers (Tom) of Birmingham, Ryan Hall of Dallas, Catherine Goodin of San Antonio, Noah Goodin of Cypress, Trey Maeker of Pearland and Jordan Maeker of Pearland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
