With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnny Woodroe Carter Jr. of Tyler, Texas, who passed away on February 27, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Carter and Johnny Carter, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Carter; his children, Butch Carter and Becky Bryd; his son-in-law Kevin Bryd; his grandchildren, Cole Crymes, Chris Crymes, Katelyn Carter and Colby Carter; and his great grandchildren, Harley Crymes, Kolt Crymes and Theador Crymes.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Woody.
