He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester R. Powell and Myrtis Powell; his daughter Cyrena Berry; his sisters, Mary Lynn Price and Peggy Irwin; and his brother-in-law Russell Price.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy Powell; his children, Keitha Palermo (John), Amanda Powell and John L. Powell, Jr. (Elizabeth); his nephew Michael Irwin (Victoria); his grandchildren, Ashlie Neubauer (Dustin), Brittany Powell, Hayley Berry, Madison Palermo, Kaitlyn Palermo, Aidan Powell and Abby Powell; and his great grandchildren, Kayliegh Holcomb of Maddison Flanigan, C. J and Jameson Neubauer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rhone Memorial Chapel (3900 S State Hwy 19, Palestine, TX 75801). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
