He was predeceased by: his parents, John Theodore Archer and Vera Archer; his wife Louise Archer; his son Mark Archer; and his sister Katie Pratt of Ft. Worth, TX..
He is survived by: his children, Louanne Archer of Tyler, TX, Cheryl Travis (Mark Travis) of Dallas, TX and Mike Archer (Becky Archer) of Holly Lake, TX; and his daughter-in-law Terri Archer of Tyler, TX. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Harding University, located at 915 E. Market Ave, Searcy, Arkansas 72149, in John's memory.
