It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry Burton Jr. (Tyler, Texas), born in Colorado City, Texas, who passed away on October 25, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Henry farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Henry is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Sr. Burton and Carrie Burton; and his wife Alma Burton. He is survived by: his daughters, Reguina Burton Hollis of Dallas and Sonya Nelson (Jesse) of Tyler; his siblings, Jessie Burton of Tyler and Louise Burton of Fort Worth; and his sisters-in-law, Marie Spencer of Tyler and Martha Whitaker of Tyler. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John R. Harmon Undertaking Company (1112 N Palace Ave, Tyler, TX 75702). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Peoples Missionary Baptist Church.
