She was predeceased by: her brother John D. Ayres. She is survived by: her husband Colonel John B. Smith; her children, John Michael Smith of Tyler, Jan Smith Cooper (David) of Tyler and Matt Beaty Smith (America) of Maui; her grandchildren, Tyler Beaty Smith of Maui and Jamie Blair Cooper of Tyler; her sister Pat Milner of Spring, TX; and her siblings-in-law, Jimmy Milner of Spring, TX and Janice Ayres of College Station. She is also survived by four nieces and nephews.
