He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Gene Mathews Sr. and Vivian Lucille Browning Mathews; his wife Donna "Amber" Mathews; his brother Richard "Ric" Mathews; and his brother-in-law Bobby Williams.
He is survived by: his daughter Jayme Marshburn (Logan); his granddaughter Juliana of Tyler; his sisters, Diane Rowe (Ray) of Overton and Wendy Williams of Kilgore; his granddaughters, Ayzha Richardson (Travis) of Longview and Sierra McCoy of Tyler; and his aunt Ann Browning of Longview. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
