Carole Magaha Barnes Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 28, 2024, at the age of 81, Carole Magaha Barnes of Tyler, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Magaha and Texie Magaha; her sisters, Linda Magaha, Glenda Moss and Sharon Kratchmer; her in-laws, Burris and Marie Barnes; and her brother-in-law Bob Barnes (Brando).

She is survived by: her husband David; her children, Marla Lyle (Mike) of Waxahachie, Mark Masat of Dallas, Melissa Robertson (Bobby) of Portland, Greg Barnes (Michelle) of Tyler and Danny Barnes (Donna) of Bullard, Texas.; her grandchildren, Blake Lyle, Lauren Lyle, Charlie Robertson and Lorenzo; and her sisters-in-law, Jan Richards (Lee) of Lindale and Sue Stagner (Stu) of Colorado.

She completed two books – "Pearls from My Past – With A Few Grains of Sand," highlighting her colorful childhood and family memories in vivid detail, and "Life with Covid-19," a commentary on her experiences and observations during the pandemic.
