She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Scott Ham Sr. and Peggy June McRee Ham; and her son-in-law Bill Barters. She is survived by: her husband Michael H. Newman; her children, Melissa Barters and Vaughn Newman (Suzanne); her grandson John Wayne (Natalie); and her siblings, Douglas Scott Ham Jr. and Barbara June Chambers.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stewart Family Funeral Home (7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy, Tyler, TX 75703). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Community Church (17833 US-69, Tyler, TX 75703).
